Fiprosyn
Fipronil 5% SC
Fipronil 5% SC is a broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole insecticide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC). It provides contact, stomach, and systemic action against a wide range of insect pests in field and horticultural crops. Fipronil disrupts the nervous system of insects by blocking GABA-regulated chloride channels, leading to paralysis and death. It is effective at relatively low doses, offers rapid knockdown plus residual control, and is suitable for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
Broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole insecticide with contact, stomach, and systemic activity.
Effective against a wide range of pests in rice, sugarcane, cotton, chilli, cabbage, and other crops.
Suspension concentrate (SC) for uniform mixing and spray coverage.
Provides quick knockdown and residual control of pests.
Suitable for IPM programs and against some resistant pest populations.
Use low dosages and apply at early infestation for best results.
Ensure proper safety and waiting period adherence.
Broad-Spectrum Pest Control
Controls major pests including stem borers, plant hoppers, leaf folders, gall midges, thrips, aphids, jassids, whiteflies, bollworms, and root borers in multiple crops. Triple Mode of Action
Contact action: Kills insects on direct contact with sprayed surfaces.
Stomach action: Insects feeding on treated tissues ingest the toxin.
Systemic activity: Some uptake by plant tissues provides protection beyond direct spray contact.
Suspension Concentrate (SC) Formulation
Liquid concentrate that disperses uniformly in water for consistent spray coverage.
Easier to mix compared with older formulations and suitable for conventional spray equipment.
Quick Knockdown & Residual Control
Causes an early cessation of feeding and mortality in susceptible pests.
Leaves a lasting protective effect on treated foliage and soil surfaces when used properly.
IPM Compatibility
Useful in Integrated Pest Management programs due to broad efficacy, relatively low dosages, and effectiveness against pests resistant to older classes of insecticides.
Plant Growth Effects
Some field observations show plant growth enhancement (greener plants, better vigor) following effective pest control, though this is an indirect benefit of reduced pest damage.
