Fenobucarb (BPMC) 50% EC is a carbamate-based insecticide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC). It controls a variety of sucking and chewing insect pests primarily in rice and other field crops. Fenobucarb works mainly as a contact and stomach poison, inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme in pest nervous systems, causing paralysis and eventual death. It offers rapid knockdown action and moderate residual protection with relatively low mammalian toxicity compared to some other insecticides.
